Smokey Shay’s smoke shop in North Carolina has become a big hit with customers by focusing on local artists and local glass.
There were days when Shana Wilkinson and Matt Rogers would lug out dozens of glass pipes to concerts and festivals in North Carolina. They’d set up booths and go to working selling them.
Shana loved the art. She was, after all, an art teacher. Matt loved the glass. He grew up around glass blowers, was entrenched in the scene and knew the good stuff from the bad stuff. Together, they found success putting glass in peoples’ hands.
